_{Congratulations to the winners of The Gift Competition. You can see them below. Take a short moment to congratulate them on a job well done, an congratulate the participants on their fantastic work. Thankyou to the other judges (^znow-white, =Inqy, *robertsloan2) for your help in making the big decision. Last but not least, thankyou everyone who supported the competition, spread the news or donated because this was alot of fun to do and we couldn't do it without you. Here's a quick reminder of what the competition was about ...

Theme: "Create a dedication / gift-art for a deviant that has either helped / inspired / made a significant impact on you or the dA community. The idea is about giving back to people who have become special to you since you joined dA. This is a unique place. It can be any style under the sun, can take any form and is completely open to you how you wish to approach it. Just make sure if you're using stock, etc. you give the appropriate credits.

So that means, traditional and digital art of all forms, photography, artisan crafts, poetry and basically anything else you can think of.

You are allowed to enter more than once. You should also say who you've dedicated your picture to and why (how they've helped / inspired / made a significant impact on you or dA) in the description (include a link back to this journal also). Please submit your entries by sending me a note with the link to your deviation. Judging will be based on the artwork, not who it has been dedicated to."

I am also thinking of possibly holding this contest again further along in the year if people are interested. I will eventually do a poll so make sure to vote so I can get a good indication of if people would like to see this happen again.

I will be sending out notes to those who won shortly, as well as to those who donated. Congratulations again on so many works well done!}
