I AM DRAWING AGAIN!

Journal Entry: Tue Apr 17, 2012, 1:06 AM

The Bandwagon:

Today's task? Drawing. I am taking a break from job applications to do something I haven't had the time or space to do in over a year: a good mixed media piece. Right now I am scouting reference shots and concepts and later I will have to dig out my old set of pens and ink so that I can sketch them out. Then comes the usual scan of my linework, colour and texture ... lets see if I can dust off all those old skills.

Thanks For 85k:

I just noticed I am moments away from hitting 85,000 pageviews so I wanted to say, to all of you, thanks for your support, your kind words, your fav's and comments and most of all, thanks for watching. Looks like it is time to put on my "Pageviews Whore" deviantART t-shirt again.

Back In ACTION:

Well I am back in Australia after my year abroad in gorgeous Germany. What a year, what a life! For those who follow me on Facebook you have probably shared a lot of this journey with me on a more personal level, but here on deviantART I just wanted to mention how this affected me as a writer and an artist.

The best investment I made before I left was my Canon EOS. It was my best friend some days when I had time to myself to explore and photograph things that I found beautiful. The second was bringing my laptop. While you all probably have noticed I have spent a lot less time online this year, I did use my new surroundings as inspiration in my writing and have almost completed my first novel.

I am back in action on dA. I am back in action in Australia. xoxo
